This song was written in collaboration with Tenique Beckles to spread Christmas cheer to our friends and family at our local church, Heavenly Lights Ministry, as well as all the other homes that will receive some Holy Ghost Joy this holiday season!
STORY BEHIND OVERFLOW
THIS SONG WAS GIVEN TO ME BY THE HOLY SPIRIT AS A BIRTHDAY GIFT ONE NIGHT COMING FROM VISITING MY MOM. THE SONG IS FILLED WITH THE FULFILLMENT OF GOD’S PROMISE THAT HE CAME TO MAKE OUR JOY COMPLETE. IT IS ALSO THE DECLARATION OF THE TYPE OF LIVE THAT GOD WANTS US TO LIVE AND EXPERIENCE. BEING A PART OF A PROPHETIC MINISTRY FOR THE LAST TWENTY PLUS YEARS THE JOY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS ALWAYS BEEN INSTRUMENTAL IN KEEPING MY SPIRIT STRONG ENABLING ME TO RUN THE RACE THAT IS SET BEFORE ME.
MANY PEOPLE STRUGGLE WITH DEPRESSION AND ALL OTHER TYPES OF MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL ISSUES BECAUSE THE BALANCE BETWEEN WORK AND FUN IS MISSING. I WANT BELIEVERS AND NON-BELIEVERS ALIKE TO KNOW THAT THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IS STILL A MANIFESTED PRESENCE THAT WE CAN EXPERIENCE. THE PEACE OF GOD WILL GUARD OUR HEARTS AND MIND IN CHRIST JESUS. THERE IS A JOY THAT COMES FROM THE BELLY OF GOD THAT HE DESIRES HIS CHILDREN TO EXPERIENCE. AND HIS PEACE THAT SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING.
FINALLY LET US BE WITNESSES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT PRESENCE UPON THE EARTH, HOW CAN GOD BE A GOOD FATHER AND HIS CHILDREN NOT LIVE IN PEACE HAVING COMPLETE JOY?

ERIC COHEN, a rapper from Kansas City, continues to convey his fervent desire to uplift others with a message of love, life, and hope with his most recent single, “Live for Christ.” YOLANDA REECE contributes vocals to his most recent recording as a feature. Through Red’s Room Entertainment Facebook group, the musical match was made possible, and most likely through both of their equally stated key influence: Jesus. Recorded in Kansas City and co-produced by Trinidad Tobago, Cohen’s music maintains its vibey, smooth groove and production. And of course, naturally, the rapper doesn’t waste any time in letting you know what you’re getting and drawing a line between himself and others lyrically with the opening bar.

This is the first ever Christmas single that I’ve released. Christmas is a season of Giving and everybody desires to be given a gift at Christmas Time!
Have you ever wanted to give the perfect gift to someone for Christmas? Where the price wasn’t the issue? Wanting it to be the value of your hearts desire, to express the depth of your love and appreciation for a person?
This song came about from wanting to give a Gift so valuable that the receiver got more than something monetary. Some of the best gifts I’ve ever received did not have big price tags connected to them but love that even after the gift expires the memory of the love received remains forever within my heart.
Jesus is the best gift given to all mankind and the Love we have experienced from Him, nothing could ever come close to it. He came as a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes but was unwrapped and became the savior of all mankind.
John 3:16 for God so LOVED the world that He gave His only begotten son.
My prayer is that we value the love Jesus has placed inside us through His Holy Spirit and to gift it to those around us. So this Christmas why not go ahead and Gift the gift of LOVE!
STORY BEHIND HOLY GHOST
The heart of this song HOLY GHOST came from Job 36:16 “He is wooing you from the jaws of distress to a spacious place free from restriction to the comfort of your table laiden with choice food.
After a dynamic preaching from her Prophet on the above-mentioned scripture, the vision for this song was birthed. God has truly blessed His people especially during these hopeless and very distressing seasons. Having experienced for herself the birthing of Hope and Joy in what we would consider a once in a lifetime experience the “Covid 19 pandemic”. The Holy Spirit continues to lead us out of all barren places, places of bondage and fear into a place of abundance and freedom.
I’m praying that the Holy Spirit will lead the hearers of this song and by extension those around them into spacious places and tables prepared with abundance. ushering God’s people into an era of unexpected abundance.
STORY BEHIND FALLEN IN LOVE.
THE HEART OF THIS SONG FALLEN IN LOVE CAME FROM REALIZING THAT HER DESIRES SHOULD NOT OUTWEIGH HER LOVE FOR JESUS. HER DESIRES CAUSED HER TO FALL AWAY FROM HER CONVICTIONS FOR CHRIST AND THE MINISTRY SHE WAS CALLED TO DO. IT LEFT HER FEELING LIKE SHE DISAPPOINTED GOD TO THE POINT SHE HAD NO DESIRE TO LEAD WORSHIP AFTER AN ENCOUNTER WITH GOD DURING THE PANDEMIC, THE WORDS OF THIS SONG ENTERED HER SPIRIT AND HER LOVE FOR MINISTRY WAS RESUSCITATED. THE LOVE OF GOD TOUCHED HER IN SUCH A WAY THAT SHE FELT NO GUILT OR CONDEMNATION. SHE WAS FORGIVEN AND RESTORED ALL AT ONCE. THE COLOUR OF HER LOVE AND HER EXCITEMENT OF SERVING JESUS WAS RESTORED.
